A letter from Jun 11, 2022

Dear FutureMe, So, tomorrow is the big day. Ever since you were 14 you knew that on your 30th birthday you would make your final curtain call. If you’re going through with it just know I’m happy you stuck it out as long as you did. Life hasn’t always been good to us, and we failed on those past attempts. I always thought for a purpose but maybe it was for this reason. I guess I got some questions for us at this point, so feel free to answer them as best you can: Did we finish the From What Once Remained album? If so, are you proud of it? I know we’ve been putting a bunch of work into it so far. Have you played any live music? I know that’s a super far fetched dream since we need to add 3 more people to the band to make it a possibility but here’s hoping! Did you end up living with Jordi? He really is the best person for us and he helps drive our creativity so much so I really hope that ended up happening. Have you met someone? I know we’re probably still not fully over Hannah, seems like we never will be at this rate lol, but I hope we have met someone who gives us those perfect late nights talks/drives like we’ve been craving. Have you worked on that Novel with Tristan or that screenplay with Brian? If not, now might be a perfect time to start! Have we gotten more tattoos? I really hope you get that Japanese full sleeve idea done before we go. That idea is gonna make us love a big part of our body, something we’re not used to. What’s your relationship with your Mother and Older Brother? Have we patched it up or are we just living for our Dad and other Brother at this point? What new music are we addicted to? Currently we’ve been obsessed with Hot Mulligan, Driveways, and that brand new Joji song, Glimpse Of Us. Hopefully there have been some other amazing releases you can tell me all about. Oh, have the Leafs or Flames won the cup? I doubt it but I really hope for the sake of our father that the Leafs win. He really does deserve that before he goes. I know we have a plan in place for tomorrow where even if we don’t go through with it we’re gonna go radio silence for the entire day to just be with ourselves. If I may suggest something, if we do have someone special at this point, please don’t shut them out. Let them be there for you, don’t hurt them like you’ve hurt others with your stupid pride. Okay, this is long enough. I love you dude, seriously. We’ve fought against each other so much in the past but know I truly love you and thank you for doing whatever you have done to this point.
