Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It's Val. You may not recognize this version of yourself, because it's somewhat different from the rest. This Val is determined. She is unstoppable and guarded. She is exercising and building muscle and is well on her way toward getting her ideal body. She is working 25+ hour weeks, and she is saving her money. She has $1k in her bank account, and she loves her job. She does it well. She's in pain, but she tries to push past it in healthy ways. Sometimes, she struggles with self-control. She overspends and regrets it immediately afterward. She is doing what's best for herself because she loves herself and wants the best for herself. To the future you, Val, I hope you're still on this path. Right now, I'm planning on acquiring a better position at my job. I'm going to Peru next month, and I'm so excited. Now that I have money, I'm going to treat my grandparents for once. They've been so kind and sweet all my life, and it's the least I could do. My darling Val, you will be 20 years old when you read this. You are successful. You are making money and thriving and living your best life. You are healthy and in excellent shape, and maybe you're engaged or even married to a good man. You don't have to be, but if you are, then good for you. You're surrounded by the best people, and there's no room for toxicity in your life. You're still alive because you made it past the greatest trial you've probably known- losing the boy you thought you'd marry when you were 15. You're over him. You're not letting anyone walk over you, and you know your worth. You're gorgeous and you're very much involved with your congregation, and you've established a good relationship with Abba. I love you so much, Val. Never forget your worth. Stay strong. You are worth it.
