A letter from May 31st, 2022

Time Travelled — almost 3 years

Peaceful right?

Hi future I am writing this letter to put a smile on that face and to congratulate me on my future as you, Whitney. I’ve always known you could do it. I’m so proud of you. You could be successful if you put in the effort. You're finally legal, like I wonder how it feels to be eighteen in the year 2025. Make sure you move out of mom's house before the age of thirty, please, because her attitude is the worst. Oh my gosh, what did you do for your eighteenth birthday? And was your eighteenth birthday fun? Like, did you have a great time? Oh my god, you better know how to drive by the age of eighteen because mom doesn’t want to drive you anywhere and make sure you save your money. Please don't, I repeat, don’t waste your money on expensive shoes like Jordans. You're an adult now, so you don’t need that stuff. Also, make sure you have a job by graduation and make sure you apply for Connecticut and Jersey colleges monthly before the school year is over. Ask yourself questions like, "Am I being true to myself?" and "Am I happy?" Pay special attention to your mental health. Make sure you travel to make sure you remind yourself that you are important as well as knowing your worth. Be sure to what lessons have you learned in the four years at St. Patrick's School? Are you spending enough on the things that matter to you the most? Have you started to achieve your dreams yet? What should you exclude from your life and add to your life? Do you make books? Are you a script writer for movies or TV shows? Have you met Celine Dion yet? What is one thing you wish you did freshman year that didn’t? Do you remember even writing this letter to your future self? What do you feel passionate about now? How's your baby sister? Do you go to cultural festivals? Did mom let you get a nose piercing, and if so, did it hurt? What type of job do you have? Are you close to everybody in your class? You probably feel relaxed right now, not having to worry about school anymore, starting a new chapter which is going into college. College obviously is not the same as high school, but I hope you have enjoyed the experience. God bless you. Thank you for all your hard work. I love you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. i
