Peaceful right?

Dear Greg, People will tell you that you did the best you could, but you know that isn't entirely true. People will tell you that it isn't your fault, but you know differently. There is no need to come down on yourself, but don't fool yourself either. You didn't have to hit Zach, but you did. That was the catalyst, that set the dominoes falling. You had no control over everything that followed, but dont let people convince you that it wasn't your fault. It was. You started it. Now move on. If you are not successful by now, choose a new career. You have had plenty of time to make this work. I know Tie will have a shit fit, but let her. You will be 30 years old in a few months, you need to send kids to college soon, you need a retirement plan. Get your shit together, make some real money, support your family. By now you and Tie will have found a way to get your happy marriage back, or you both will have moved on. I hope you guys figured it out and made it work. She is the best thing that ever happened to you. Don't forget that. But don't be a doormat either. If people are still making you feel like shit, cut them out of your life. Nobody can live the rest of their life feeling the way you do now. You deserve better. Stop telling yourself you don't. Embrace your emotions, even the bad ones. Reality is what reminds us we are human. You cant know what good is unless you understand bad. Shitty things happen for a reason. Don't feel sorry for yourself when shit happens. Just know that good is somewhere near. Just look at your son, you know that always helps. He looks just like you. Poor kid. Dont forget to say hey to God once in a while. He saved your life once, don't forget that. Don't ask him to solve your problems, just say hi every now and then. All in all, you are doing all right. Whatever you are, it's right where you are supposed to be. Your family loves you, your son idolizes you. Cherish these moments, they wont last. Make yourself a sandwich, you're probably hungry. Greg.
