Time Travelled — over 3 years

Peaceful right?

Heyyyy Abbygail! I really need to stop writing so many of these. I’ve written about seven in the past week, which is just crazy. But I’ll do it anyway! It’s my very last week of my freshman year in high school and it doesn’t feel real! I gave a farewell speech to my public speaking class today, and I truly did not expect myself to do that well. I had an unplanned joke which was a hit at the beginning of my performance, and then the rest of my speech was performed so confidently I didn’t even know I could do that. And I’ve been wearing my mask all year, even though it’s been optional since March. I get really insecure about my face, so I took the chance to cover it up as much as I could, but today I took it off, so it was the first time most of my classmates saw my real face. When I was done presenting my speech, people clapped loud so it felt really really good :). I really don’t mean to sound conceited, I’ve just never been proud of myself like this before. But it was fun! A jolly good time, if you will. I hope college is treating you well? Thinking of being that old feels surreal to me right now, sorry, no offense, really! But I’ve been considering UVA, VT, and UNC. I would absolutely love to go to UNC, but dreams can change. Right now, Zach is 17 (it was birthday pretty recently as you know), and it seems very likely that he’ll end up going to VT for engineering. Our friend Jaylon (if you remember him, such a cool dude!) is going to ODU for engineering and I think Jasmine (twin sister) is going there too. I don’t know where you decided to go but I sure hope you’re having a good time! Here come the reminders: Socializing can be really scary, but you can relax! Also, don’t worry about putting on some weight this year, literally every freshman in college does. Have fun with people! Keep studying hard, but please, GET ENOUGH SLEEP! Nothin but love ❤️ Have a great great time and enjoy the rest of your day! Seriously, being young is taken for granted so often. And to prevent being a hypocrite, I am very much enjoying being 15. Love ya! - Abbygail
