A letter from May 23rd, 2022

Time Travelled — about 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, It is May 23rd, 2022. Life is well but, unfulfilling. I am writing to you from our home in Diamond Sands, Gold Coast - where it seems to rain every single day. I feel unmotivated, and so uncomfortable in my skin (as always). Maybe by now you’re into your fitness? Maybe not. Here’s to hoping you are still vegan at least, and haven’t caved in to the world just yet. Work at The Tropic is fun, but it’s not really want you want to do is it. What do you want to do? I don’t know, something creative. I hope that you are doing something with your creative mind now. Maybe it will set you free. Jonathan and I are on the sofa, listening to Mammal Hands behind the rain. We love this apartment, I hope you remember it, always. Hopefully by now you have been home and visited Mum in England, and baby Honey too. I miss them so, it’s difficult trying to make life work here. I really hope that by the time you are reading this, that you will have some kind of residency in Australia - that’s what this is all for isn’t it? A way out. Some security somewhere that isn’t Kettering. Anyway you can do it - I know you will have. Anyway the coast is not all bad, we enjoy life here actually. The pace is slow, relaxed. And when the weather is nice here, then it really is beautiful. Don’t ever forget your best memories Racquel, memories are the greatest thing we can have. X
