Time Travelled — about 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Today is May 12th, 2022, also hi! I hope you are doing well. This is 8th grade you by the way. Hopefully, nothing went wrong in the future and we still have all our libs attached. Did you make any new friends? I know I did, you hopefully remember them all, we wouldn't want to forget anyone, would we? I hope Covid is just a small disease like the flu. Are you still afraid of needles and jumping from heights? Hopefully not, don’t know if we’ll ever get over those fears though. Are you still doing the Tidalwaves program? These years have been hard. You know, with sports, homework, home, school, etc. it’s hard to focus on one thing at a time. Your anxiety has gotten a bit worse, and public speaking sucks. I’ll deal with it though, like always. Do you still remember your middle school years? 5th grade was fine, we were all in different classes and it was bound to happen at some point, you made new friends instead, yet it sucked that they had to leave at the end of the year. That was also the year that we realized we loved to read. We used to read on that one part of the bench all the time, and our teacher would get annoyed when we read during class instead of paying attention, but it was fun. That was also the year when we joined Tidalwaves, you met two of your friends there, and in 6th grade, you made more friends. 6th grade was spent inside the library, in class, and in Mrs. Stephens's room. You, later on, spent more time outside with other people, and you opened up to others. That was also the year covid hit, yeah, Covid ruined a lot of things. Remember when you used to sleep in and forgot about homeroom for a long time, and the teacher decided to email mom about it? Not our brightest moment… Anyways, 7th grade was probably the best. We made so many friends, the group chat started, it was great! When the Hybrid program started, you finally got out of your room and went to school. It was fun. This year, eight grade, has been one of the best. The KTM grew so much, and though we had some falls, we know that next year it will be better. We currently are doing CAASPP testing, and it’s horrible like always. The last question in the math one about planning a whole trip? Yeah, no, I did not understand that at all. I guess overall this year has been good, but it’s a bit stressful as well since it is our last year in middle school. I hope you are doing well, and that High School is better than we expect. Hopefully you are doing well, remember to be nice to your sister! With love, The past you, or, Ashley Vela.
