Time Travelled — almost 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear Me, I hope you are doing well. I would like to write something along the lines of, "I hope you are as happy as you are now" or "I hope you're doing great", but that's now how time works. I cannot predict what's going to happen in the next four years. I know there will be many ups, but I know that there will be many downs. Whatever happens, I must remind you of how you felt about life four years ago. You four years ago saw life as a gift. You are placed in a world so beautiful and green, with people that have hearts of gold, with an amazing family that taught you what love was, and parents who paved your path and made you the intelligent and loving being that you are. Well, to me, you are perfect at the moment, and you probably still will be perfect four years from now. In case college didn't really work out for you or you still don't know what career to get; case you feel a bit lost, remember that life has so many things to offer. You can do anything. At the moment, your family isn't doing too well. They are struggling, they are unhappy, and honestly, that is the only problem you had. You felt guilty for not struggling with them, and you wished you could be doing something to help them. I'm praying that in four years, everything will be so much better for them. For mom, dad, brother and sister, and her little boy. Like I said before, I can't predict what will happen in the future. So mom, thank you for being the best woman in my life. Dad, thank you for doing what you can and supporting your family. Sister, I hope that you have found your happiness and that your son thrives and reflects the best in you. Brother, you've always known to do what makes you happiest, so I hope that you haven't forgotten that, and that you are truly enjoying your life. As I reread this, I feel like I'm writing this letter to my family in four years rather than myself. But see the thing is, my family is me. My family made me the person I am today. I could have never been where I am today without the help of my family. Anyways, a quick little message to myself. By now you are probably a few weeks from receiving your bachelor's degree. You freaking did it. You're insane for that, CONGRATS! If that is not what you did in four years, then girl I hope you're doing something so amazing that I can write a memoir about it. I just want you to be happy. Alright! Bye!
