A letter from Mar 11th, 2022

Almost finished with the school year. EOC is coming up. I’m scared. Math has never been my strong suit. A friend is bullying me. She touches me in weird places and hurts me when I don’t do the things she wants. I hope you stop talking to her, and somehow manage to, despite feeling like a terrible person, stop being friends with her. It’s hurting our mental health but I feel horrible right now thinking about telling her I don’t want to be friends. Focus on math, art can come in the summer. Math is important. How will you pass if you don’t know what to do? Ask questions. Stay positive. You got this. FutureMe, you are amazing. You’ve survive this long after all the trash life has piled on you. You are smart and creative. Everything you think you’re not, you are. I love you. -8th grade me.
