A letter from Feb 1st, 2022

Dear FutureMe, Hi, it’s me or I guess you. Well like you 3 years ago, but still pretty much the same thing. I don’t really know. To be honest, this was probably one of the best assignments I got to do this semester. I mean, I feel like we both already knew what our goals were, but it’s still good to send a reminder out to myself in the future. This is probably the happiest I’ve been in awhile, and I just hope that you’re really happy too. Now where should I start? I guess I’ll start with my/our first goal that I or I guess we wrote down. I want to graduate college by the time 2026 rolls around. I know you may not be graduating yet, but my hope is that we’re still in college and that you’re pulling through your Junior year in college way better than we did in highschool. I mean, we still made it through that year, but it wasn’t our greatest school year. I hope that you’re doing well in your classes, and that maybe you’ve joined a film club. That’d be awesome. Or maybe our interests changed, and I’d love to know about that when it happens. I’m proud of us, and I’m excited to start school in the fall. Also, my second goal has been a goal for a while. I would like us to live with Derek if we’re still dating. We’ve been talking about it with him since we got together in 2018. Heck, we’ve been talking about growing old together since we were friends in 2017. So I really hope that by now you’re- or I guess we are living with him. If not, I hope it happens soon. But if something happened and we broke up then no worries. We can move in with Azzy or an awesome friend instead. I don’t mind. I just hope we’re still together because he’s just so lovely. Lastly, I hope that we are either progressing in our career or making connections or interning or whatever it may be. When I- we graduate college I want to make lots of money and pursue my- our dreams. Also, I want to travel, and I hope you still want to travel because you are me. If we make enough we can have that leisure and that’s what I’d like more than anything ya know? If we’re still with Derek we could even take him with us! How bout that? Anyways, I hope you’re doing well. I wish you luck in your future ventures, and hope that we can both achieve all that we hope for. If we’re still with Derek you should tell him hi for me. I know he’d think that’s cute. Also tell him that right now(past him) is still sick and that he’s still wrong about Donkey and Dragon. I agreed to disagree, but Donkey is totally a submissive man towards Dragon. I don’t care what anybody else says. Also, tell him I love him if you can. I think he’d find that cute too, and if you were to write a letter back I’d love to hear about how he looks now that we’re older. Does he get cuter? That’d be pretty epic. I mean, he’s already super cute and awesome and amazing and I’m incredibly lucky to be stuck with him, but still. Does he get better or worse with age? I think he’ll get better, but idk.
