A letter from Jan 31st, 2022

Dear FutureSelf, Success is just a goal but it's not everything in life. Success will just be a driving force and keep us motivated to pass every struggles, to keep the adrenaline flowing, keep the adventurous feeling inside, as we are ignorant beings, so we're curious. We always wonder about everything, always try to find the reason behind things and the purpose of our very own life. But success will only give you a meaning for a short while. Success will give you a sense of fulfillment and a moment of joy for a minute or two, and after sometime life will get boring for you. Maybe you'll find life meaningless after you've already achieved your purpose—success. When you have achieved the hardest thing to achieve, life will get boring as for there is nothing that challenges you anymore. Nothing to inspire your brain to think of new ideas, new ways, new experiences, new chances to get to know the unknown. Get to the place of the unknown, get to feel the unknown. The unknown will always get our brains working, will always pump us to work until it made sense to us. If anything, I am greatful I gone through the darkest period of my life as I have found the very reason of it, the things that really matters in my life. In that time when I have nothing, really nothing..walang wala, nothingness made it clear to me what is really important in a human life—the experience. To experience different emotions, to know how it feels to be happy, to be sad, to be angry, etc. To feel the rush of excitement in your body, the blood pumped in your veins, to feel the chill, the thrill... Everything. To feel alive. To love and be loved, to care and be cared for... Feelings. It's the experience, how it made us feel that will always stay on us. And people—people will always give you something to feel, give you a hell of a roller coaster ride of emotion. They can break you, fix you, rip your heart out, patch you up, throw you out, want you back, no matter what, you feel something, and feelings means you're alive. People are unpredictable—that's why it is my ultimate goal—your ultimate goal is people. They make life challenging for you everyday. People will always make you feel, see, hear, taste something new. People will always give you something different. People are the goal that you'll forever-ly chase, the hardest goal there is to come after, the hardest goal to keep. In fact it is so challenging that you may come to a point where you'll just give up a person, because it's so hard that it will seem impossible, and something impossible can make you feel incapable, helpless and desperate, then frustration, and then regret after that, nevertheless you still feel something. Do not give up in people, but aspire for people, find and achieve kind hearted people, surround your self with good souls, let them touch your core and make you're life more meaningful. Aim for people and the experiences they'll bring, cause it's through experiences that we find our purpose, find our reason, define our life when we're wrinkled and old, tell our whole story when we're laying down on our deathbed. And people will also define you through the experiences you brought them, experiences you'll left behind. People won't forget how you made them feel, so darling, be kind, don't loose your heart, and explore the endless adventure in and with the people you chose. Lovelots, Liyanparautot
