Dear future me,
You wrote this letter on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 02:25 in the afternoon. You were 16 at the time. You decided to write this letter because of a TikTok video you've seen (https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSeqpETNx/). While writing this, you're sitting inside the store of your aunt. You were the one in charge of managing the store because she had a lot of things to do. You were feeling excited while writing this letter, but you also couldn't process any words to write because you were somehow sleepy, and cold at the same time.
To this day, the world is quiet. Our city was under alert level 3 because of the virus, explains why we can't wander around. I wish that on your day, you can finally go outside. Stay up all night every time you want, and walk outside until midnight. I suppose you are no longer the person who seeks attention from everyone, even if you keep getting ignored again and again. I hope you have finally found someone who accepts you, loves you, and cherishes you for who you are. Someone who would lead you on the way to happiness. I suppose you're still addicted to Lana Del Rey just like in the past when you kept listening to her 24/7 even though your friends don't like her.
You know, you were always hesitant about the path you wanted to choose in life. You didn't know where to go, but then, you found out that you wanted to be a film maker. Those people who create films. You also wanted to publish a lot of novels, and be a poet that everyone respected. You wanted the world to see your creations. So, I'm hoping that five years from now, you have achieved all those things you wanted in life. I'm hoping that you're not just sitting there and letting the people around you decide on what you want to choose in life. Don't forget the feelings you felt while daydreaming about your future, about the films you wanted to show the world. Don't let those emotions go in void.
If you're reading this on your 21st birthday, I want to remind you that you're now entering the real world. The reality of life has yet to come. So, as someone who has been part of your memory; of your life. I want you to always remember the past, for they all have the wisdom you can always run to when you're about to hit the lowest line of your sanity. You finished writing this letter on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 3:25 in the afternoon.
Good luck on your journey. Don't let anyone take your happiness away from you.
I love you. I would always be so proud of you.
Sincerely signed,
you from the past.
