Dear future me,
I am writing this in the 8th grade. Be grateful I’m using perfect grammar. Anyway, happy birthday. I hope you’re doing much better than how you were doing five years ago (aka now). I know life is hard and right now I want to give up on everything, but you can do it. If we got through 7th grade, who can stop us? I hope you’ve achieved your goals and dreams and New Year’s resolutions. I wonder if you’ve had any romance? Sadly, you can write to the future, but you cannot write to the past, so I’m not expecting a response back from you. But most importantly, I hope you’re happy. You deserve it.
Yours truly,
Elizabeth
