Dear FutureMe, First and foremost, I hope you are still alive. I hope you are still financially independent and I hope you finally find that happiness you've been seeking for so long. I have made the leaps and bounds to get us here...make the most of it. If you haven't already, start looking for an apartment that is OFF street level so that you don't die young because of all the a-holes who honk their horns all day and blare their bass. It annoys you and is slowly killing you. Find a place that you can have some peace and quiet. Find a place with parking! Find a place with a washer and dryer in the unit. Don't spend more than you can afford on it...look hard and in March, when your lease is up...move to the good place and leave this place, although cute and a great starter apartment....is not the right place for you. You know it..stop making excuses. Remember why you are here. Remember why you struggled so hard to get here. Don't let the nay sayers and self loathers bring you down. They are miserable but their words should not affect you. Please I hope you have learned to be more patient...if you haven't, let me tell you, impatientness does you no good. Work harder at it. Don't forget your five year plan. Keep going. You will be greatly rewarded. You will be thirty pounds slimmer and enjoying it...remember how it was when you were fat. Don't go for the food when you are lonely. You don't want to go back to how you were. If anything terrible happens between now and when you read this, remember, this too shall pass. You've been through a hell of a lot and you can make it through this as well. Think back to how much you have survived through. You are strong. Don't ever get so self absorbed that you think you've done more than others. You have had a habit of saying you've experienced more in so much time than most people will in a life time...you don't know that. You don't know everything someone else has experienced so while you may have been through a lot, you are NOT a martyr. You are living life as it was dealt to you. Don't ever forget that. Don't be so concerned what others think. I am already well on my way to succeeding at this and by the time you read this, I am hoping you will KNOW it, fully. Go to the doctor, keep that dentist appointment and take care of yourself. Try to stay calm on the road even when other drivers are being idiots. Be the bigger person in every situation. You'll thank me for it. Keep saving that money...I'm doing a good job of it right now so let's keep that going, shall we? Not knowing what the future holds, it has struck closer to home while writing this....we always take for granted that we will be around for years...but one never knows. So, Me, enjoy every day. Look for the positives in every day things and cherish the time you are here. Love on your cats even more than you already do. Keep your chin up, stay strong, look for the positives, enjoy what you have, take care of yourself, stop being so lazy and LOVE yourself. I hope you see this, Future Me. You deserve good things and getting this email will represent another year of success.
