A letter from Dec 26th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hi! It's me, four years younger. I'm currently on a call with Kate C as she's reading her letter than she wrote for her future self a year ago. Christmas this year was really fun! I hope you're still using your weighted blanket but May might be a little too hot for that. A little recap, Christmas just ended! We had Madison over and it was her, Claire, Mom, Dad and Lucy! It was super fun and I had a great time. I'm still seventeen when I write this and I don't feel at all ready to be an adult. I guess no one really is? That probably just comes with experience but still. I hope that we are responsible and our life is in good order. We also just got back from NYC! That was such a fun trip! I loved seeing Wicked and going on the tour around the city. The Covid exposure was not as fun. Hopefully we test negative tomorrow! I have faith in us. LMAO I really hope COVID is over right now. I almost forgot to mention it because it seems so normal now. I really hope HNA doesn't shut down again, but I also don't wanna take finals. EnviSci is kicking my *** and I need an A to get honor cord (I also reaaaaaaally don't want Claire to get a better score). I kinda want a normal senior year, but I also LOVED being home because of Covid. I really got to connect with KKMLSH and I enjoyed waking up at 7:59 for class every day. Hopefully our schedule is a lot better in college. Right now, I'm into a lot of things! I really like Criminal Minds and You! I also really like watching Markiplier and Game Theory on Youtube. SNL is pretty funny too. Right now FNAF: Security Breach came out and that's all I've been binging from the past few days (We're not always this cringe, but this game is unreasonably good and I love the walk throughs). I've been watching a lot of analog horror too, like Mandela County and the Walten Files. I hope Mandela County doesn't scare you anymore because that would low-key be embarrassing. I also like happy, not weird stuff! I love watching Dateline with Mom and playing Roblox with Claire. I listen to A LOT of Taylor Swift right now, but I'm still really into P!ATD and FOB. I also really like Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Hoizer, Ke$ha, and Lil Nas X. I'm pretty sure my top song from this year was Industry Baby because I love the Jack Harlow part. I hope Taylor has released more music! Technically, the last album she released is Red (Taylor's Version), but her last original album was Evermore. My favorites are still Fearless and 1989. I also play a **** ton of Minecraft. Text Kate, Helen, and Brad and remind them about the Tramamas. That was super fun to do, even if the only viewers we got were bots. I have a few questions for you! Did we get into Tulane? (Probably not, but I hope that future me as more confidence). Which colleges did we end up getting into and which one did we go to? I'm already accepted by five but I still have no idea which one I love, or even if I want to go to any. How's school going now? Do we like our major? Do we still want to be a pediatric doctor? I hope so, because I have no idea what we'll do if we don't wanna do that. It's ok if we pick something else, but we need to make a LOT of money. What's college like? I imagine college being a cool place where I can finally learn what I'm interested in and discover what I really love to do. I hope your college friends are fun! Our high school friends weren't great but I still LOVE KKMLSH (Hope we're still friends with them too btw, if not go text them right now). Do we have a boyfriend yet? Is he really cute? Cuter than Toby? Hopefully that crush is over with by now. A year liking him is a year too long for me lmao. Do we have an apartment yet? I still hate cooking but baking is fun. WE BETTER HAVE OUR LICENSE BY NOW. Twenty-two is an EMBARRASSINGLY long time to go without a license. I hope we have a little ****** dog. Those aren't my favorite but they're up there and I think those would be the easiest to take care of in an apartment. There is so much more I want to cram into this letter but I can't even think about what to put down. I hope we are a strong, independent adult that loves every part of herself, even the parts that we don't like. I also hope we are a lot less cringe and a lot more hot. You can do it girl!
