Dear FutureMe,
What's up? O great muse, please grant me this sabbath sight: future me married to a girl I love. I know, it's not up to me alone, but I hope me can do it. It's cool--I mean, if you can't do it now. I'm not going to give up on you.
Now, your job. When the money is enough, just remember: your goal was to save 200,000, and then live off the proceeds in Mexico. So, you can always quit. Just walk away, wish them well, smile and sell the house. Then move to Spain, live in a cave in Granada. Learn to play flamenco guitar.
I hope you are healthy--please tell me you were running and biking, and building things this last year? How about a picture frame? That table saw is sitting there, waiting for you to do crazy shit with it! And making sourdough bread, not worrying, but enjoying making super-sour bread.Remembering good things, good times, good friends. You have them. Don't forget it! Man, you are pretty lucky to have a good job and all that, even if you kind of hate it.
OK, talk to you soon,
Ciao
Stefan
