Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Either today or around today, you graduate high school! How huge is that! Right now I'm only in 8th grade, and completely terrified of the idea of college. Covid-19 has completely confused just about everyone, and now some colleges aren't even taking SATs? I hope by now you've figured it out. How is everyone? What college are you going to? I'll bet you're scared. I'm scared just thinking about it. How're mom and dad? Are they crying, and hugging you, and smothering you? Is Sloane there? By now, she'll be around 26 and probably preparing you for college like a good older sister. Are you still friends with Maya, Nenah, and Taylor? Right now we're all talking about going to the same high school together, so does our friendship last? What books are your favorites right now? Right now, my favorites have got to be: The Outsiders The Song of Achilles Circe Gone with The Wind (I'm a little over halfway through it right now.) What songs are you listening to? I better see some "Where'd all the time go?" by Dr. Dog Because I'll bet right now you're wondering where the time went. I'm still a little scared for high school, because 8th grade so far is unfair and makes me want to crawl up in a hole and never come out. And I hear all these terrible stories of high school and I quiver for my future. One last thing, did you end up writing that research paper that all those Juniors and Seniors write at the high school you want to go to? The one with a maximum of 4,000 words. Right now, the challenge entices me and I want to, but I'm sure the reality of it is much scarier. If you do/did write it, it better be on Psychology and you better have worked with Mrs. Wyrowski. Right now she's my favorite teacher. I really hope you enjoy your last summer. After all, since your birthday is July 26th, you'll be 19 going into college. I love you. You did great. -Past you, Iris
