SHORT SCARY STORY
BY: MONICA R. DOJO
The day when my father left us, is the day I believed that it’s real that there is a ghost. While eating with my siblings in our chair railed with bamboo, we can see outside but it’s dark that time because it’s already 8 o’clock in the evening, since we don’t have yet an electricity we only have candles that make lights inside the house. While I am eating I unintentionally looked outside, I was shocked, confused and nervous I can’t explain what I felt that time when I saw a girl staring at me while I am eating, she’s short girl, her face the way she stared at me look kind but scary. Her eyes looks like she’s begging something and it’s like she wants to be a friend of mine. I can’t describe or identify her whole face, since I didn’t looked at her more than a minute I was scared and nervous that I could not even move on how I sat that time. So, after I looked at her I continue eating I didn’t make noise or tell it with my siblings and mother. I was thinking if who is that girl and why she’s staring at me like that, and why she’s there in a night time. I was scared if she’s still staring at me when she already knew that I already saw her, so what I did is I looked back outside and yes, she’s still there looking at me, I have noticed that the dress she’s wearing is the same dress of my mother and I am sure of it. I was thinking if how about if the girl staring at me outside is my mother and she’s just kidding at me. So, what I did is I looked if my mother is there inside our house without standing I just turned my head around, but I saw my mother on the top of the table hanging her washed clothes, because we have clothesline at the top of our table. I looked again outside but the girl suddenly disappeared. And it was my first time to experienced a scary thing and it’s unforgettable. Based on my experienced that was the time I began to believe that there is really a ghost.
