Dear FutureMe,
This is 2021 SaltyLettuce writing to you, I hope you’re doing well and that you’re happy with what you’re doing. If you became a science teacher, or a history teacher, I hope you're happy with what you’re teaching. But, when you're teaching, please don’t forget to support social justice since that helps students with their education. If you have forgotten or need a refresher, here’s what “social justice” means. Social justice is the act of providing each and every individual student the same opportunities and chances to succeed. Your part of this is to have high expectations of your student while helping them achieve those goals. You can do this by providing them with the materials they lack or helping with any questions they can have without putting them on the spot in front of others. The student’s part of this plan is to be able to understand the content you're trying to share and be able to freely ask questions without feeling scared or shy of speaking out. I expect you to read this and improve or alter any methods in your teachings to meet these expectations.
Remember, you want the best for these kids since you want to make them feel like school isn’t so bad as they see it. You want to strive for social justice and the knowledge that you’re students feel comfortable being in school and want to learn.
Sincerely,
SaltyLettuce, 2021
