Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Hey, Han. It's your 16-year old self writing to 21-year old you. How are you? I'd be surprised if you're actually alive and well by that time. Proud of you still no matter what. It's a tough world we live in. If you look back to my time, we're graduating from Senior High School. We thought this would be the best year of our life because we thought we'd graduate with a face-to-face setting-- But here I am. The students are stuck at home. We had never expected such a challenge to come about. I didn't think this pandemic would be this tragic. At 16, it's already so hard to find certainty within today's society. Everything's changing, some for the better, some for worse; I can't tell which is which. Recently, I applied to UP (I hope you just graduated with flying colors by that time). To my own surprise, I applied for the BA Comparative Literature course rather than the course I've always dreamed of taking, BA Psychology. I hope you've made some changes to my decision. If not, that's okay too. That's what we're all about, isn't it? Progressing. Changing. Adjusting. We can't control everything. Don't try to control what you don't know. I've learned to adhere to "It is what it is." Even though, I haven't applied that to my own life philosophy; I hope you have. With all the changes in this crazy world, I hope you're on top of it all. Never settle for less when it comes to you. Ground yourself and aim high. I hope you're proud of who you are because I am. I can't wait to meet you. I can't wait to be you and experience the obstacles and challenges this fast-paced world throws at us.
