Dear FutureMe,
So, we were a little tipsy at the Kon Tiki -- on our fifth anniversary date -- when we wrote this. Please excuse the sloppy editing. (Yes, we were still perfectionists in 2021.)
Here are our hopes for our tenth anniversary, on 10/27/26:
How do we wish our lives to be on our tenth anniversary?
- Ease. We're burned out! We're always on! Chill out a little.
- Be hot
- Find ways to love ourselves other than achievement
- Find ways to make space for creative fulfillment
- Have an independent Bean....who still wants to hang out with us
- Maybe add another birb to the nest?
- Publish something! Get over the fear of putting ideas out there
Over the next five years, we hope to learn:
- to keep our work at work
- to find a productive way to express negative things other than getting angry
- to be more present with family: allowing the now to be the most important thing
Just a reminder: we're happy with each other and we love each other. The things that suck about 2021 are the "everything else" of our lives.
You guys are doing great. We love y...well, us.
Dot and Mark
