A letter from Oct 19th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

B46 L22 Kindness st. Goodwill Homes 1, San Bartolome Novaliches, Quezon City Philippines 1116 October 19, 2021 Hey Jj, This is Iyah. I hope you can read this. I know you’re going through hard times right now and I’m sorry if I’m not the person that can be with you. After a long time, this is the first time you said you wanted to be free and asked me to let you go. Even though it’s hard, I’d still let you go. It’s not that I’m already giving up, but I want you to find the peace you’ve been hungry for. I hope this is the right decision and may I not regret doing this. I got so tired for all of the things you’ve done. I know you are tired as I do. Maybe it’s really not us. Maybe we’re meant for someone else who’s a lot better; someone who can understand our pain and help us get through it. Raising three kids would be so fun, especially with you, my love. I couldn’t wait to see them prepare and make halloween decorations with us. And on Christmas, we’d open gifts together—big or small—we’d be thankful, that’s how we will raise them. I couldn’t wait to witness you having your own business, or having all the cars that you want, but remember that one is enough, and if you ever receive two, be more thankful and contented. I couldn’t wait to feel JJ number two, Aza and our plus one’s skin and wait for them to save me from drowning in pain. But I think, that wouldn’t happen anymore. But please, if you ever had a kid from someone, name your son Joseph. Remember me everytime you see him. Remember how I loved you. Remember the way I took care of you. Love him and do not let him grow the same way you did—the same way we did. One day, I promise I will be back, you may not be able to see me that day, but I know you would feel me. I know you will. I hope, if ever your mind forget me, may your heart never forget all of the memories we’ve had. We might be strangers again, but now it’s different. We’re strangers with joyful memories to remember, better than being strangers at all. Please, do not let your wife feel the same thing I did when we were together. Love her more than you can love yourself. Make her feel that she’s the best wife she could ever be. Let her know she matters every single second. This letter will be sent 5 years from now. I might be in college already. Might have found someone else, but remember, you, you will always the most special. You might have your kids when this letter got sent. You might be single, dating or whatever, what’s important is you read this letter. I just hope you’ll still have your email in the next 5 years. Take care of Mama Lissa, take care of Gage and Cheyeanne. Guide Ashton and Justyn. Forgive your dad. Lastly, take care of yourself. I know you are strong and I know that you can do this. I love you, Joseph James Fobia II. Always have, always will. Sincerely Yours, Iyah
