A letter from Oct 16th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, lately you've been thinking to become a kpop idol. The reason why you want to become a kpop idol is because of your role models NCT. They have given you so much love and joy in the past few months since you got into the group on July 1st, 2021. (Taeyong's birthday) There are no words on how to explain why they're your role models, all 23 of them, but those boys and you just fit together perfectly. From connections to your life, the members, and numbers. I really don't know what to say right now cause all I wanna do is to meet them all and tell them how grateful I am to have NCT in my life. I do want to meet them, but not just as a fan, but as a kpop idol. I want to become friends with all of them and have enjoyable moments with them. Ever since you were a little girl, you've always wanted to become an artist like Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato. But once you got older, you felt like you should be not just an ordinary artist, but something more extraordinary. Ever since you got into kpop cause of BTS, you've started to love the Korean culture more than any other culture you loved in the past few years. It's been 4 months now since you got into NCT, and lately, you've been having gut feelings like you should be doing something right now rather than laying in bed watching videos. Sure, you've been practicing your singing and rapping in Korean, but also dancing.... but it still doesn't feel right. You feel like you should be traveling somewhere, being on stage, or being in a dance/recording studio. You know right now while typing this, you should be doing something really important, and what the important thing is, is you becoming a kpop idol. Work hard every day and every night till you make your dreams come true. Move to Korea after high school and start your career. Do whatever it takes you to get on stage and show the world what you can do. Cause you know singing, rapping, and dancing has always been your passion. Not a vet doctor, FBI agent, or being part of the BAU, but to become a kpop idol. You can't see yourself doing any other career. You've always wanted to perform for people since you were born and I know for a fact you will make your dreams come true. While I'm typing this, I'm 18 years old and almost done with senior year. I'll be sending this letter on your 23rd birthday since for now there are 23 members of NCT. Since your birthday is a day before Jungwoo's I hope you're celebrating your birthday well with him. (my birthday is February 18th and since South Korea is a day ahead of us, Jungwoo's birthday is on my birthday. His birthday is February 19th) So listen carefully future me, NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS!!!!!!!! Don't let anyone tell you, "oh if it doesn't work now, you need a plan b." No, you've always known FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART you want to perform in front of people, on stage, singing, dancing, and rapping your heart out. Make your kpop idol dreams come true. I BELIEVE IN YOU!!!!!!!!!! WORK HARD NONSTOP!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU GOT THIS GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! And once that day comes, the 1st thing you HAVE TO DO is meet all 23 (or how many members there are right now while you're reading this) members of NCT and tell them the reason why you wanted to become a kpop idol, and that reason why is because of them. Working their butts off nonstop for N-citizens and WayZenNis even if they're having a rough time like what's happening to Lucas right now. #WeLoveYouLucas Hopefully he's still with the boys in 2026 cause it's never the same when Lucas isn't around. (Oh, and I hope the Japanese sub-unit is doing well :3) Enjoy your life as a kpop idol to the fullest. That's all I have to say for now future me.
