Dear FutureMe,
Wow, I can't believe we're 29 years old already. ****, 30 is closer than we think. As we're departing from our 20s I first want to say I am so proud of you. We made it. Being alive today is simply enough. 17 year old us thought we would never make it to see 25, but yet here we are... years later.
First off, I have some questions...
1. Did we ever turn pro?
2. Did you marry Seth?
3. What is your current career?
4. Do you have kids? What are their names? Are they everything you hoped they'd be? If not, are there still plans for some?
5. Do we have more dogs? Where is Piper?
6. Has the COVID-19 pandemic ended yet?
7. Do you still keep in contact with Julia or Lydia?
8. Who is your best friend?
9. Do you still have something that sets your soul on fire?
10. What was your reason for getting up today?
If asking yourself these questions today made you angry or sad. Stop. You are exactly where you are supposed to be and surrounded by the people you were meant to be with. Every day since this letter was written has made you exactly who you are today.
If you're currently struggling with something you will find a resolution. You always do.
I hope as you enter your 30s you continue to work towards something solely for you. Something that brings you joy beyond measure. Take care of those around you, but always make time for yourself. Be proud of how far you've come and how far you'll continue to go.
The sky is the limit.
