Dear FutureMe,
It had been a crazy month last September 2021. You were full of doubts about yourself. You were thinking if you should continue living, dreaming, and achieving. There was a point where you just became numb about all the pain you've experienced. The pressure is real. You are an academic scholar, nursing student, President of the campus' nursing community, a daughter, and a lover all at the same time. It's like you are all over the place. With power comes great responsibility. I've prayed for this and God gave it. He won't give it unless He knows you can get through it.
I wanna ask how are you? You are 26 right now and I expect you to be a more grown woman. Do you have a lover? Are you married? With kids? Can't wait to meet them. Right now, I'm focusing on becoming a better version of myself. Of becoming a woman. Of building assets, financial stability, emotional availability, maturity, and readiness. Every trauma I have must be dealt with before I have kids. I don't want to project all my insecurities, all trauma that I have to my children. I will make sure that they will be raised well and they will not experience the hardships of life without guidance. Jesus will be the center of our lives.
I wanna encourage you from 2021, that whatever you're going through right now, you will get through it with Jesus. It may be hard but it will be worth it in the end. Do not rush on life, enjoy it. Embrace the world. Appreciate everything. We only have one life, cross out your bucket lists. Be free. Do not lock yourself. The world has so much to offer. God wants you to live your best life. But don't forget to share your blessings with the needy. Call your parents, your aunties and uncles, of course your friends and cousins.
I know that mid20s to late20s will make you feel pressured again. But breathe deeply. Take one step at a time. Cross one task at a time. I believe in you.
All the love and support,
Ivy from 2021
