A letter from Sep 29th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Yo! I'm a first year college student right now taking up Medical Laboratory Science. And actually, I knew medical professions are really hard but this... it's just the start but I'm having a hard time due to the pandemic. I've never thought I'd feel this way. Everything just feels so wrong. Heck I don't even have friends to chat with and gush with in my class. I find it really hard to interact with them. I just can't. Hopefully in 5 years time, you'd already be a registered medical technologist and I don't know probably applying for abroad? Since that's our dream. We just want to leave this ****** place full of judgemental individuals, I know. And even the wages are awful, please. Considering all the health care workers work so much now that a pandemic is undergoing. But still they're underpaid. 😩 Currently, I'm studying for histology and physiology. We supposedly have a quiz on Saturday. And I wrote this because I just felt so tired. I know I shouldn't be feeling this way because I'm only in my first year. But... the burnout and stress is real in here. I hate COVID. Why does everything have to be like this? My future, I really hope you're now living your dream because probably by now you'll start to prepare for the board exams. I know you can do it. Let's work hard for that dream of ours. Everything will someday fall into place <33
