Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I hope you have learned to live in the present. The past is gone and the future doesn’t exist yet. I hope you are where you want to be. I honestly have no idea at this point where you will be. Most of all I hope you’ve healed and I hope you’re happy. I just hope you’re able to live your life like I’ve always wanted. I hope your confidence has grown beyond what I could ever dream of.These are the best years of my life and I want to only look back in the future to memories instead of regrets. I just want to live. And enjoy it. I hope you are able to spend time with those who you love most, but also taking more time for yourself. I hope you are expressing your emotions better and less building them up inside. I hope you are truly surrounded is positivity, and noticing the little things that make life so so beautiful. I hope you are doing more of what makes you truly happy! and setting achievable goals that still push you. Don’t keep beating yourself up over the little things and please remember to look back every now and then to truly understand and appreciate how ******* far you have come. It wasn’t easy and your road was never paved for you. You had a million setbacks that could have changed your life but you ******* woke up the next day and dealt with it and didn’t let **** get in the way and that is ******* incredible. I hope you still know that you can go so much further and while you are creating this beautiful life every single person responsible for one of those setbacks will be watching you and you will be able to show them just what you have become. Please please don’t be taking things personally and I really hope that you are so comfortable within yourself now that these things won’t be any skin off your back. I hope you are able to worry less, especially about the future! Believe that you are always where you are meant to be. Stop being afraid of what could go wrong and start being excited about what could go right. Stay persistent in what you want. Yeah, failure is hard but that is where the real lessons are learnt and you come out so so much stronger (just look back at your own path!) Create the life you can’t wait to wake up to. It really is okay to be emotional. These emotions need to be used and let out, and can then be used as driving points in the future, even not holding grudges. This can be so so hard but so often holding a grudge only ends up hurting you more than the other person. Instead, build a life where they cannot help but look and say **** I can’t believe I did that to her I wish I could make it up. Be ******* impossible to ignore. You can’t change the people around you but you can change the people around you. Quit saying “no”! Keep on taking risks - they are always a funner story to tell at the end! Take a ******* chance. Make sure you’re having more fun whatever you are doing. Routing and **** is great but I don’t want that all the time I need you to be spontaneous and adventurous. I hope you know it’s okay to splurge sometimes, especially treating yourself when you deserve it! Most of all, have faith in yourself, even if others don’t. Already, looking back there have been so many people in my life that haven’t had faith and being able to prove them wrong makes any successes so much better. Have faith in all decisions you make and the things you do. You are your own biggest cheerleader and will always have your own back. I am so proud of my past self and will also be in the future. You got this girl!!! LOVE BEING YOURSELF. Please truly love yourself instead of loving the idea of other people loving you. Your life isn’t yours if you care what others think. What you think of yourself is so much more important than what other people think of you. Ask yourself, when you find yourself in this state of mind, how far has judging yourself gotten you? Who are you when no one is watching? Would you like you if you met you? Be ******* proud of yourself and remember that there is no rush. You can ******* do what you want, because one day you will wake up and there won’t be any more time to do the things you’ve always wanted so do it now, and do what scares you until it doesn’t anymore. Anyway, I hope you are taking care of yourself - remember I truly love you no matter how far you’ve come. Remember to make someone smile every day, but never forget that you are someone too. Also, go drink some water right now!!! Lots of love, 18 year old you
