Dear FutureMe,
Jessica.. Jessica- It's me, Jessica. Right now you're 16, but when you'll read this you'll be 21. The big 2-1. (****,) Though, If there's one thing I want for myself, it's that I'm happy and financially stable too. I want to be able to still dream big, not conform and be unapologetically me. I assume you've made it past uni, if we didn't.. **** girl you're very strong to survive all that criticism, love that for us. Hopefully, we'd managed to go to a Russell group regardless of our stance on how they uphold elitism in the UK and if we didn't why would we want to participate in something that perpetuates and upholds elitism in the UK (*smirks*) AND obviously, you're NOT a tory right!?, speaking of tories do you still speak to 'Blake The Tory' and is he with Megan right now, how funny would that be?
I also feel the urge to tell you, that you've found a good thing, a sisterhood if you will with Sim( her last name is very similar to someone you are not friends with anymore yikes) . She's one of the best things to happen to me at school. Surprisingly, I actually have male friends, something tells me they won't be long-lasting in my life.. did I prove myself wrong? BUT some girls at school are giving witch energy (At the moment, it's Linda and Tamar and they constantly and consistently prove me right. Does it ever get tiring being so amazing, knowledgeable and just everything and more?), pray for me. Sixth form hasn't gotten too stressful yet, did I actually survive A-levels..? OOH- let me tell you about Yash incase you guys never get together or you actually forget about him( but I mean how could you, anyways). He is our CRUSH of all crushes, I mean, I'm feeling giddy and all that jazz just typing his name, it's actually quite sickening. But WHEW he is fine and kind and smart I mean we've had less than 10 conversations BUT WHATEVER he'll be going to uni soon *sigh* whilst I'll be in year 13 .. Random, but do we follow each other on instagram? ( because... DREAMS DO COME TRUE) Seriously though, It's Damson Idris and Dylan O'brien forever, though.
I don't want to give you such tight constraints on your future, I mean after all whatever happens will happen, there's no interfering with God's plan but I want you to know you're in control of your future, nobody else but you. It's all you, don't ever let anyone take that autonomy from you, please. Do what's best for you always, it will pay off I know it will. I hope our family is better than ever and that you're spoiling mum the way she deserves to be spoilt especially for putting up with you and Josh. The love you have for mum can't be compared, it's so much it overflows sometimes and I don't know how to express it sometimes. The next time you see Mum, Dad, Josh, Xander and Xiara- literally everyone please just give them the biggest and tightest hugs from 16-year-old me.
I hope I'm still in there with you, underneath everything, I hope I don't loose my youth and my joy. Of course, I know things will change, they have to but I want to keep my laughter, my joy, my kindness and as a stupid as this sounds my naivety. I hope the world hasn't destroyed you Jess. If there's one thing you take from this today it's that whatever happens I won't judge you. I'll love you now as a 16-year-old and I'll love you as a senile 90-year old. I just hope you love yourself more. ALSO ***** WE GOT A MAN? (YASSHHH????, probably not though). I'm going
to go now but I'll keep manifesting and praying for us.
WE BETTER HAVE A NICE *** LIBRARY/BOOKSHELF like the tiktok girlies AND FRANKIE BETTER STILL BE YOUR NUMBER 1
PS check that olympus recorder, that mum has because I'm funny as hell. I'll see you when I see you and can you make this a tradition, it makes me happy and I hope it does the same you, me and us.
Big Hugs
Younger Jess
