A letter from Sep 21st, 2021

Time Travelling — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Currently it is September 20th 2021 on a Monday. I’m in 7th grade in English class writing this letter to me (my future self). I am 12 right now but can’t wait to be 13. My interests are staying at home singing. I love being in the comfort of my own home. I don’t like to go anywhere because I would have to get out of my bed. I’m also really bad at socializing which adds on to the fact that i don't leave my house my house. I am friends with ONE person in my class. We have been friends since elementary. I trust her and think of her as my family. We have a lot in common such as we love the same boy band BTS. I’m obsessed with them and it is great to share that feeling with someone. I am scared of not having good grades this cool year. The reason is because last 2 years I was pretty lazy so this year I have to work extra hard to get those grades to 100. Right now in the world… we’re still in school but we all have to wear mask and social distance. I hate being in school because I’m gotten so used to learning online (given it’s been 2-3 years). I just missed waking up in bed at 8:30 instead of 6:30. My home life is pretty good thankfully. My family and I are safe and happy in our new house. We just moved there in the beginning of September. We love it and are proud house owners. I feel proud about myself because we are all a fighter in this pandemic. I feel like everyone had their ups and downs during this. When the world had to be isolated from everything we all tried our best (most of us) to keep each other safe. My hopes for the future are getting a job that I enjoy doing such as being a musician. I see people everyday going to work in a bad mood because they hate their job. This leads to an automatic bad day. I would hope to go to work in a pleasant mood knowing that I’m fortunate enough to have a job that I enjoy going to. “The most exhausting thing in life is being insincere.” I choose this quote because when your insincere your it’s like you're paranoid in your own body. I wouldn’t want to live my life second guessing everything I do because I’m insincere.
