A letter from Sep 14th, 2021

Dear Future self, Hey! Wow you're in grade 12 now! Seems like just yesterday you started grade 8. By the time you're reading this you will probably have a job (maybe something to do with horses or animals) and will be applying for university. You have always wanted to go to Guelph University and do something that has to do with animals and if that all fails, you have also, always wanted to become a sports reporter! Getting to travel around the world reporting sports seems like a ton of fun! Hope you have found some new friends in high school but still stuck with the old! I have some questions for you, do you still love horses and ride? I’m sure you still do because I know how much you liked them! Do you still see Roxy she must be super old now she was 22 when you were 13! Do you still have all your wonderful pets, Ruby a black lab dog, Spice my sassy bunny, Finley my 3-year-old betta fish and last but not least my 5 chickens! I’m also sure by now you own a horse because it’s always been your dream to own one by the end of high school! Do you still ride at Low Wood Stables and Bit by Bit Farms? I know how you used to love baseball and you were an amazing pitcher! Do you still play? I also really enjoy hanging out will my friends some are Lauryn Smith, Noemi Marczinko, and Charlotte! I have lots of important people in my life, such as my amazing super supportive Mom and Dad and a sister! I think I have a bright future ahead and will make wise decisions with a couple of mistakes of course, because nobody’s perfect. And if you fail always remember to try again and never give up! I definitely have a lot of plans for the future and my career. I want to go to university like I’ve said earlier and open my own farm/horse rescue and a rescue farm for any animals because they all deserve chances to have a second chance in life, just like all humans! I would also like to open dog boarding kennels. But, don’t worry they will have lots of room, and they will have a vacation while their owners are also on vacation! Once I’m even a bit older I would like to have a family and be happily married! But your probably tired of reading about the future me so I’ll take you back to being 13 and the past me! Well i’m currently in a 7/8 class about to be done my first week of grade 8! My teacher is Mrs. Finn she’s really nice. I really like my class there’s a lot of really funny people, also at recess we have been playing soccer it’s a lot of fun everybody gets very competitive and it’s been a girls vs boys even though there’s only 4 girls that play! It’s still tons of fun though! I live in Essex Ontario in a big house which you probably still live in I'm almost 100% sure you do! Does your room still look the same? Double sized bed, string lights? You used to spend a lot of time in that bedroom and worked through a lot of issues there! I do have some fears though some more serious than others! One of my biggest fears is I'm afraid people are going to leave me and fake like me also, I will be lonely forever! But then I have sillier fears such as snakes I hate them the way they slither, and move is just gross! I also have some advice for you so you can have an amazing future! Always follow your own path and don’t EVER forget who you truly are. Don’t let anyone change you! I hope you found purpose in this letter and it helped you remember what your younger self was like, and maybe it helped you make decisions for the future! See you soon future self.
