A letter from Sep 12th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, so, 2026 huh? is it scary to be already writing our thesis? who are your college friends? right now, my college "friends" are Lucy, Josseline, Melany, Sharon (they are the closest), and then there is Katherine, Cassandra, Josué and that´s it :) is the pandemic already gone? is our country in peace? do you have a job? are you living in your parents house? are you outside of Costa Rica? OH MY, did we participated in an exchange student program? was it in Denmark as we dreamed of? was the first year living in the apartment an interesting year? are you still living there? i hope you are (or are planning to) study another career, like to be a flight attendant or a comercial pilot, or getting your masters degree or you Ph degree :) right now I need to study for my botanical test (i hoe you already know all the things for this test), and today is Sunday and the test is on Tuesday, so i have less than 48 hours, crazy! so, any love interests? for the 18-year-old María Paula, i don’t want anything with anyone, seriously (even though i have a playlist and a perfect wedding dress pin on Pinterest hehehe). there is this guy talking to me, BUT I DON’T KNOW HIM (because life right now is more virtual than anything), and he is 23, 23! imagine! for me, its too much and i honestly prefer having a late night date with books than with him xd...just going to let that out :) is your best friend still Ale? (PLEASE tell me you both went to a concert together, or at least went to see the stars, or had a fancy dinner with him and other friends, or had a fantastic adventure with him) and Sofi and Pau, how are they, are you girls still close? and how about Las Nenas, are they still separated? and how is your relationship with God? where do you think He wants you know? i fell He wants to tell you that everything will be ok, that He's got you, don't worry, pray, come back to Him, He has a, no not "a", He has THE perfect plan for your life, always remember that Pau. He has created you in a perfect way, always trust His Will. i hope you found your identity in Christ, and hope that you teach Dani that, she needs God a little bit more in her life <3 how are you and Trini, Maida, Ana, Issa? how are they? hey, no matter what, you know that you will always have them in your life <3 are you, possibly, writing your biggest dream (i'm not going to tell you what it is because then it won't come true, but I hope it does)? how's Dani, you perfect life-long best friend until eternity? does she have a boyfriend? i hope her and my father get along these days, hope they still love each other and hope they understand each other, i really want that and how's dad? is he still working in that "miracle company"? i hope you have a better relationship with him now, hope you appreciate him more and hope he still loves mom like the first time they held hands. hope dad believes in God like never before and hope he is living one of the best times of his life, i genuinely want that for him talking about mom, how is her? is she working? is she still the best aunt in the family (im really proud of that hahahaha)? i hope she is as happy as she has ever been, i hope God gives her what she needs and hope He gives her wisdom. oh my, have I already drank alcohol and/or coffee? (i hope not because that was our promise we made when we were 17 :), but if you did, i hope you had good reasons darling and of course, i'm not going to judge you) as of today, i speak Spanish, English and Portuguese, but what other languages does the María Paula from 2026 speak? i hope you are outside of the country, with a lot of international friends, making the best for the environment and helping people, and telling them about God and the Truth so, i really need to go back to study, but i hope you have (or had) one of the best days of your life and hope your week is great. something wonderful and beautiful is going to happen today, just for you to know. girl, i just wish you the best of the best, hope that your mental health is great, hope that you still believe in God and know that He is Mighty to save; hope that there is less poverty and pollution than there is today, hope hat the world is better (hopefully there is no more pandemic), hope that you changed your look (or at least did/go do something with your hair), hope that you are happy with Jesus and wish you luck on defending your thesis. always remember to love God and put Him first because if you love Him, you will love yourself and others more, you will. GO TELL YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR YOU ARE PERFECT AND CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE (darling, i think you need to hear this :)) listen to million little miracles by elevation worship and maverick city yours truly (18 year old María Paula), single not ready to mingle, happy/normal/stressed/not knowing much stuff about trees/tired/nervous, freshman in college, it's chill
