A letter from Sep 8th, 2021

Yo what's up Anthony, I hope you're doin well. I'm sorry if this seems like rambling once you start to read it, but you know how we are. If you don't remember, this is you back in freshman year of college at UNCP. You had a major in Art. I've got no clue where we'll be in the five years it takes for this to get back to us, but hopefully we continue with art in some form or fashion. Right now we plan to finish out this 4 year degree, then finish out our Army contract and get the **** out. I'm not sure if our opinion of the military will change in 5 years, but right now I am not vibing with it. Currently things are going pretty monotonously, just going to class, getting food, and then going back to my room. Haven't made a lot of friends yet and mainly just keep to myself, which hopefully changes. I've got no clue how to make friends here, though. It seemed that withing like the first day of class people already had cliqued up and formed friend groups and people they were comfortable with talking to while I'm just here wandering around. l hope we find the way we want to present our identity. I came out as nonbinary a while ago, but I still feel uncomfortable in my body and I haven't been able to find the clothes that I feel comfortable in. The adidas track pants/teeshirt/sneakers fits are getting kinda boring and I don't really like them all that much. And mainly, if the world is still alive and kicking, I hope we are too. I've surprisingly gone through a lot of **** in my short 19 years of life, and I know that there will be a bunch more. I just hope we keep the will to live through all of it and end up growing to be a better person. really don't know what else to add to this so Imma end it here.
