A letter from Sep 4th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, 5 years from now?! That's a very long time. You'll be 35. I still can't believe I'm 30. The big question is if you have kids or not. I would be surprised if you do, but less if they are adopted. Somehow though if you are reading this without a screaming child in the background that is surprising too...the decision to not have them is a hard one, though that's the future I imagine for myself and Tom. Do you have a published book? Dare I ask, have you managed to make some money from your writing? I think 'profession: author' is probably more a goal for in 10 years time. Are you in your own house, somewhere with a view and vegetable patch? Gosh I hope your smell and taste is back... I hope Mum and Bree are doing all right, and maybe your relationship with Dad has improved. Ever manage to be happy with your body? Lol. Hope you're well. Written from the table at Keith and Gills.
