Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, I just wrote one to be sent on January 1, 2022. At this point, it's August 2026 for you. For perspective, I just found out that I have to defer at least a year for university. I'm devastated and I've been crying a bit off and on. Was considering starting a blog to vent and listen to other people vent. I want to go to Japan next year to take the JLPT and I hope I did. I really hope I made the best of this gap in school and that I didn't let it discourage me. It's okay if I don't end up doing what I want to do now, I just hope that I'm happy. Right now, Huffles is to my right. I bet she's dead now. She has to go to the vet for a lump near her tail and I hope that isn't the reason she's dead. I hope she died happily of old age. Is Allen still our best friend? Do we still speak to Danell? I've known Allen a year and I think he's one of my soulmates in a friendship sense. I hope we stay close. I've decided to start saying a mantra in hopes of what I want coming to me: "I don't chase, I attract; what belongs to me will simply find me." I sent it in my last email to myself so I'll send it here, too, because you might need it if you've forgotten it: I'm trying to see things in perspective. My dog wants a bite of my peanut butter chocolate bagel and I know she cannot have this because chocolate makes dogs very sick she does not understand this she wraps herself around my legs like a sad scarf and begs to have just a little bit when I don't give in, she sits by the fireplace drooping and sad. I hope the universe has my best interest in mind like I have my dogs I hope that when I want something with my entire being and the universe withholds it from me that the universe shakes her head and says "Silly girl, she believes this is what she wants, but she does not know how it will hurt." I hope the universe has our best interests in mind. And I really hope you're doing well. I write these so that we don't lose perspective. I think it helps to have you give yourself a reality check. I have high hopes. And I hope, when this reaches you, you will have good things to tell me.
