A letter from Aug 30th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, Hey future me!!! Tomorrow I will begin with 8th grade. We aren't going to do much this week since our first official school day is Friday. The operation for my ingrown toenail is planned for the upcoming Wednesday. Sadly I will go in crutches to school and I cannot even wear shoes. Sadly corona ruined our lives. We didn't go on a school trip last year while I really wanted to go. They changed it to this year (hopefully we can go). But they canceled this year's trip while we were supposed to go to London. I SO BADLY WANNA GO THERE. My family says that there's nothing rare about it but I want to go. Now let's talk about my dreams and obsessions. Since quarantine, I have been thinking a lot about my future for several reasons. I started to watch marvel movies and became obsessed. In the end, I ended up watching a lot of series/movies and wanted to become an actress. My mum doesn't allow me to be one because she thinks that acting is a bad road eventually. After that, I got confused in life and to this day I have no idea about what I should become later in life. My dad wants me to be an architect to take over his company when I am graduated. Not going to lie, I love and enjoy drawing things and designing but I am not really in the buildings. If I want/go to be an architect I will be an interior designer. I want to have a job that requires a lot of mental stuff. Like science, doctor and that way. It's not my dream but I can't let my parents down since they left all of their dreams in Libya for a better future and education for their own children. So I have to deal with it. I know for sure that I will regret the fact that I have not made my dream come true. Anyway, my obsessions are Marvel, Tom Holland, Painting, skateboarding, and reading books. Also having a lot of markers is a big obsession:). My obsession with Tom Holland is no lie. It grows every day while my family finds me weird but I am happy and can't describe how lucky I am that I fell in love with Marvel. Literally, all Marvel men are hot but we ain't going to talk about that. I made a lot of friends last year. I was afraid because I didn't know how to give a first impression but I accomplished it. One of my best friends is Daisi. We have the same hobbies and enjoy doing things together. Also, my other really close friends are Maan, Julie, and Amber. We sort of created a friend group together. I hope that my future self will do her. She will become an inspirational woman one day and accomplish a lot of things for the world. To my future self, impress me in any way you can, in any time you can, and in any life you can. You can do it and you will. Your (our) future depends on your choices. Make me happy while you're still hanging. Don't let anybody come between you and life. You will get happy and make a living. I know you can. Impress me:), Your past self, me.
