A letter from Aug 23rd, 2021

Dear FutureMe, you are currently 20 years old, about to make a move from langley to vancouver on your own. you've managed to score a sweet little place of your own right by china town. you are between jobs right now, but you're still getting by. you finally left kayle and have been thriving ever since. you obviously still have bad days, the things he did created deep wounds. but you're dating luke who is such a sweetheart. he treats you so well, he is so supportive and encouraging of everything you do, and he helps build you into the best version of yourself. you're truly thriving right now. you are so happy in every aspect of your life, you're finding your voice and setting necessary boundaries. your confidence is growing and your learning to love yourself in every form. you went to the van gogh art exhibit last night, it was such a beautiful experience. you and luke woke up early to go fishing, and you caught 2 salmon. i am so proud of where you are in life right now, and how far you've come. we didn't think we'd live to see our 16th birthday, and look at us now. we made it. and i'm sure when you get this life will be so different, and i hope its even better then it is right now. you have the power to control your life and achieve absolutely everything you want and more. don't settle for anything, the world is endless and you have so much to experience. step outside of your comfort zone and live life like every day is your last. i hope life is treating you well and i look forward to where you take us. the world is yours.
