A letter from Aug 20th, 2021

Time Travelled — almost 5 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, A letter to myself. From watching evangelion because of the song being parody in anime opening, to being confusing with episode 25 and 26, to getting answers in the end of evangelion, to remember what happened in evangelion in 1.0 you are (not) alone, to being surprise in changes in 2.0 you can (not) advance, to being wondering in 3.0 you can (not) redo and saying goodbye in 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon A Time. Evangelion is truly one of the greatest art of modern media. The timing of Evangelion 3.0+1.0 being released is really fitting. A few weeks ago I lost my grandparent due to covid-19. It is really a sad tragedy that no one should endure. Listening to my mother crying was really something that I didn't want to hear. I started looking for escapism. I started to distance myself and not let anyone close to me know their ***** as a way of escapism. However after watching 3.0+1.0 I realise something there is more to life, there is more than Eva a life without Eva. When I said 3.0+1.0 came at the right time because during the pandemic covid-19, many life were taken including the ones who are dear to me. But we still have to be strong and accept fate and move on, and not drown ourselves in escapism. With that, this is the goodbye, a goodbye to a wonderful series and a goodbye to both of my grandparents. GOODBYE ALL EVANGELION. Thank you.
