A letter from Aug 19th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, It’s crazy how fast time does fly. The days turn into a blur and the hours are gone in seconds. Years feel like a season rather than 365 days. We just got a letter from the past. April 21, 2016. One of the toughest letters we ever wrote, so far. Our trauma hasn’t healed but we know that we’re taking it step by step. We’re happier than we’ve ever been. And yes, to answer some of our past questions. We’ve done things that we never thought we’d accomplish. We graduated high school a few years ago! Got a job, taking college courses ( I hope you work hard for us and it pays off ). Soon we’ll be getting our own place! It’s amazing how far we’ve come, even in the littlest ways and I’m proud. We never needed anyone else to say it. Only us. To ourselves, for ourselves. We even have a boyfriend, his name is Daniel and I do hope that life plays out the way we want it to with him. We love him & we found our way back to him once, we can do it again. The family is well, family. We love them though & I do hope in the future that everyone has reconciled with one another. One can hope! Well, until you hear another blast from the past. Take care of us, loves us, and choose us.
