Dear FutureMe, I am currently always thinking about cars, girls, track and cross country. My main goal is to earn eagle, that is my overall goal. Hopefully you learned how to not procrastinate and got a very fancy life and have a very nice car. Hopefully eagle is achieved because I know it would make grandpa and mom very happy. My next goal is to run it back to State for track these next three years. My current 200: 20.7, 400: 50.1, and the 4x400: 3:29. Becoming successful in track and going All American and running in the Olympics would be so amazing. I am currently doing purge workouts for my arms because they are embarrassing runner bod is such an annoying body style. The abs though wow definitely a big hitter with those. My favorite things right now are cars, music and shoes. I have quite a few pairs, nothing too big though. (unfortunately) I got back from philmont about 3 ish weeks ago and bartle maybe a month or two. Andy Hitchcock is currently my best friend. Hopefully that never changes because we are absolute idiots but it is so amazing always having someone there who can always have your back and you can return the same to them too. If all else with the olympics fails I really hope to either join the marines and be a mechanic or join the air force and either fly jets or become a Special Operations Search and Rescue Firefighter on the airport. I am looking forward to getting sophomore year started and going today is only day 3 but I am dreading it so far. I am very concerned my grades will slip again and I won’t be able to participate in track, I can’t count on coaches turning a blind eye like last year. I am currently hoping to either get an internship at Chicane or work for Deickman. Or really get any job, the only main problem is that I am so busy with XC and then the indoor track season in January. It’s hard to get a job when I have practice from 3:30-6:30 everyday of the week and to add I have scouts obviously every Monday at 6:30-8:30. To add to the whole scouts thing I am currently not only a 5th year now but I am also Assistant Troop Quartermaster. (Andy and I rock that job) My other goal for scouts is not just huge but it’s also a giant responsibility. I am hoping to run and earn SPL for the troop in February. This upcoming indoor track season I will be running for the school district and state as 1 of 5 track athletes representing the state. I talk the talk more than anyone else does but I also walk the walk and that’s all that matters to me. As long as I am on top I am happy if I fall I will get back up and improve myself. I almost started dating Hadley Knight but she has a problem with everything I do and expects me to respond instantly so I had to drop that because I was not trying to get involved in that craziness when I have the biggest years of my life coming up. I am already talking to Emporia and Wichita about scholarships for track and everything. Hopefully I can sign somewhere good for a good deal next year, a year early because now you can get offers junior year and start getting “paid” and getting schools merch to represent and everything. My only thing I would say is that in my 15 years of living no matter how long or hard something is finish that shiiiiiii. Don’t stop and just give up. I am currently able to run 4 miles in 20 minutes flat that 5 min a mile average. I. Am. Good. Life is only going to continue to get harder. That isn’t a pass to give up and surrender, it's a sign to push yourself as hard as you can and get what you want, work for it, you will always get it. I continue to impress myself there is not greater feeling other than knowing you are doing something others can’t and knowing you did that all by yourself. No matter what others say and try to claim you fame or steal your thunder, track and cross country are 100% you. No one is out there running all of the distance for you that's all you bro. Keep going and impress yourself.
