Dear FutureMe,
Hello 25 year old Lily! How ya doin? I hope you're doing amazing. You're a whole five years older than me. :O You'll be done with college, and hopefully in a job you absolutely adore. You're working in the music business (probably as a sound engineer!) and I hope you're absolutely loving your work. I always wanted a job that didn't feel like a job, but that was something I genuinely love doing. I hope you've traveled more and seen lots of new places and met lots of cool people. You're still happily single and childfree as you've always been, but I hope you're more comfortable expressing that to others. I hope you're a lot more confident than I am, and unafraid to be yourself. Most importantly though, I hope you ******* love your life. I hope when you look in the mirror, you see the person I've always dreamed of being. I hope you're no longer just a girl who has big hopes and dreams, but the girl who is achieving them. And even though you're (hopefully!) more accomplished than me, I hope you haven't lost that inner child and the dreamer inside of you. God knows how much of a dreamer you are. It's so important to not become so set in your ways that you give up on those dreams or not allow yourself room to grow as a person. Though you'll be more mature than I am now, you still have a long ******* way to go. You'll always be growing, learning new things, having more dreams to chase, and going on new adventures. I suppose that's the beauty of it - we're always growing as people and working towards the best version of ourselves. You have come so far in these last five years, and I am so ******* proud of you. So ******* proud of you. Though there has been and will continue to be ups and downs, I hope you never forget how far you've already come. You're doing amazing. Love you pal. In a bit! <3
