A letter from Aug 10th, 2021

Demi: Dear FutureMe, It’s been 5 years, If you receive this. I hope your doing well and that ur healthy. Some things about 2021: I currently live with my mom and her bf roger in Born, Limburg. I’m at the third year of school, which means the last year of niveau 3. And after that there’s still 2 years remaining of niveau 4. Once I’m ready I can apply for a job as vet assistant. This month I’m in a relationship with Jop for 10 months, and can’t wait for the future to happen. What I hope to happen: It’s been 5 years, I hope you grow some confidence and some self trust. The world is hard, but try to fight it and you will come trough it, I believe in you❤️ 2021 me is still the quiet type. When you read this you’ll be 23, a grown up, And hopefully having a place in your own, with a dog or a other pet. And hopefully with somebody I love. Grandma Mia is turning 80 this year, I hope that she’ll be there over 5 years. But she’s strong, and will survive it. My sister is Turing 2021 this year, I hope that she will be with her bf Niek with a place on there own, and someday a marriage. Diesel is 8 and buddy is 4. I really really hope Diesel will survive those 5 years and that my father and stepmom are still with each other. I hope ur good in your own skin, and make better choices then now (2021). Try to love yourself, try to loosen up and let your problems don’t affect your physical and mental health. I know I’m dealing with anxiety right now, but once I have the job I dreamed of and have my own kind of peace. It should be alright. And I hope my clothing will be better then now, and to have some sorta glow-up. I’m not the sporty type. But I hope to be at the gym more often and have a good shape. I love you Greets, 18 year old me. Jop’s letter: Dear future me, I hope that, when reading this back, first of all we are still in a relationship with our lovely girlfriend Demi. If not, this will be a bit awkward, but ofcourse that is nog the case. I hope we are finally a police officer en we have proven our worth and have shown them what we are capable of! Perhaps we even have our own canine unit. I/we are at the beginning of a new era, a new chapter in our lives and I hope, I know we are on the right path. We have always dreamed of that ****** body and the police is our destiny! Our parents have just divorced but I know that, in 5 years, that will all be old news en we will likely get through this. Try to get a thicker skin and to be a bit prouder of yourself! I hope grandma and grandpa are still around and that we are earing healthier. Jansse probably isn’t with us anymore, but that isn’t too bad. We have enjoyed his presence long enough and we have been there for him his whole life.
