A letter from Aug 9th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, hey. i don’t know if you’re still alive or not but how are things going? currently here in 2021 we are in and out of covid-19. there’s a vaccine but i haven’t gotten it yet because my mother doesn’t want me to. right now i’m not at my best. i’m sad that all my friends hang out without me, i’m raising my sister because her mother got surgery and her dads just lazy, i take care of the house, i have a job, i’m 17. i’m missing the “good years” of my life taking care of my sister. i just wish that i could be happy. right now i’m sitting on the couch watching hit tv show cocomelon while listening to my playlist of jams on apple music. is gabe still your best friend? how’s ava? are you finally in a relationship? i know it’s hard for us to talk to people so how are you with that? are you in school to become a teacher or what? i know we want to work with children so i hope that’s what still happening. right now i’m into minecraft youtubers: quackity, george, dream, sapnap, karl- the list goes on haha. has george met dream yet? has life treated us better? are we finally happy? sorry i 17th birthday sucked ***. our mom thought it’d be better to get a new car instead of a cake. now that i’m working tho i’ll buy us a cake next year. i hate that we feel hated (right now). i feel like nobody cares about us. that doesn’t matter. talk to you next year :) much love, Emily Rodriguez
