A letter from Jul 31st, 2021

Dear Jayrol Christian “Ichan” Rafal, I wrote this letter for you 5 years ago, actually today is July 31, 2021. Look how far we come? It only feels like yesterday when I first saw you at Mcdo, who would have known, from strangers to lovers. We’ve been together for 6 years, turning 7 this September and the spark is always here. I thank you for loving me unconditionally, for making me feel safe and calm whenever I get mad, sad, dumb and you know the rest. I always look myself in the mirror and try asking “ how do you know if he’s the one?”, i said, “ you’ll know if he’s the one when he keeps you safe and makes you calm during your demons.” Why did i stay and still choose to love you?, well it’s because you are the one. I never asked for someone, I never prayed for someone, I never expected for someone, I never love someone, like you. You love me with all of my demons and with my darkest and depressed minute, hours, days, week, and months. You love them all. I thought a mentally ill person like me never deserves a love that stays. What a lie. Many beautiful things has and will happen. Thank you for loving me. Although our love story is like a roller coster ride of emotions, Im grateful for having someone like you, since the beginning. Thank you for not changing, and thank you for staying with me. We don’t know what’s ahead for now, but I love you. And i hope that nothing is in between. I love you since the beginning, up until now and will love you forever. Yours Truly, Leinad Airolg Rafal
