Dear my future self,
I know life kinda sucks now. Your best friend just has a baby, she always knows what she wants in every relationship. Living in Shanghai by yourself, reading Codependency no more every day since two years ago to work on your insecurity. Practising mindfulness and back to work after crying in the bathroom. Guess this is life, not easy but so real.
I want to tell you that you are very brave, and you are improving, healing little by little each day. Don't be too harsh to yourself and give yourself 10 times more credit than what you think you deserve.
Will you get married when you receive this letter haha. Must be, right? I wonder how many kids you will have. I remember when you were a kid, marriage and kids are two things you dislike the most, but some people showed up in your life, showing you how beautiful life could be with another person. Do you have two kids now, one boy and one girl? Are you working on a job that you are passionate about? Do you pay back the credit card? Most importantly, are you happy now? I am not talking about the happiness you feel after smoking some cigarettes and get an emotional high, but the joy of enjoying life, knowing there are still challenges in your life but you know how to handle it with the one you love. Also, can you proudly say that you accept and love yourself from the core now?
Dear my future self, this is a love letter from you 27 years plus 1 months youself who live in Shanghai, sitting in bed at a Wednesday's night while listening to the spotify. Dear my future self, I know you will be ok. See you in life, you will be so proud of me when we meet after 5 or 10 years later haha
