Time Travelled — over 4 years

Peaceful right?

Dear FutureMe, Firstly, happy 30th birthday! The day has finally come and I bet you can’t quite believe it. 30 always seemed so scary to you, you think you should be older and wiser, but really, not much has changed. You’re still just you! You’re still young and I hope you are happy. Happiness is the biggest priority, remember that. 2021, what a year that has been. You’ve been through so much this past year, the pandemic, losing your job, being away from England, dad and Granny Fred. It’s been a tough one, but I believe this is the year that things started to change for you. Half way in and I feel the personal growth has been immense. You believe in yourself and your dreams again. I believe this change is what is going to kick start your dream career- being a doctor. You nearly gave up, but after being kicked down you got back up again. Good for you, Ken. By now, I hope you’ve made it in, I hope you’re closer to becoming a doctor, and doing good in the world. You know that’s what you’re meant to be doing right? You’ve never been surer than right now in this moment of time. You’re going to go on and do big things, you are entirely capable of achieving all you set out to. You’re probably going to still have moments of doubt along the way. But you’ve come so far, remember who you are and what you really can do, and you’ll be fine! You’re going to make it! As I write this today, you’ve had a ****** week at work, you got ANOTHER parking fine, you hate your job and you’re feeling down. You know you can do better in your life (work, fitness and finances) but you’ve hit a stagnant period. But today, is Saturday and you’ve just come back from a lovely day out at Noosa with Kial and now you’re going to promise FutureMe something (30 year old me). I’m going to promise that I’ll work hard, treat myself better, stop being lazy and exercise, and spend more time in nature. You deserve more in life and I’m going to try to give that to you. That’s probably all I’ll write for now. Remember you are a good person. Please continue to believe in yourself, and your abilities. Do not let anxiety rule you (I know this is something that has been difficult) but it does not define who you are or what you can do. From, 25 year old Kensa X
