A letter from Jul 8th, 2021

Dear FutureMe, First of all happy birthday no longer a stubborn little 17 year old girl, with big dreams ready to take on a world she has no idea about it. Your now 23 today almost half way to 30 lol. I hope in the past five year you have proven your current 17 year old self wrong, I hope you made yourself proud and that your happy. I know right now you worry your never going to make it in the world and your scared to grow up and go out and face the world yet it’s all you want to. You want to travel and save money, buy a nice little house and give yourself a career. I hope you did learn to stop working as much as you never stop working (people say we should be enjoying being 17 but we don’t listen, after all we have been I a pandemic since just 3 months after you turned 16). I have a few goals I would to meet in life and I wonder if we have meet them yet so am going to ask him if we: 1: finally moved out into out place with the money we saved up by ourselves 2:we stopped being so negative towards ourselves 3: we made it into the military hopefully the navy 4: we started to travel 5: have we deployed yet because you can’t wait for that day 6: you learned to be proud of your achievement and your fallers 7: you started to spend more time with family even if you are in the navy, you stared to value them more 8: are you still in love with that same boy you are in love with currently or are you living your best life single. Either way I know we still don’t need a man lol 9: can we drive yet and did we buy or first car 10: most important that we are happy, did we make ourselves proud. Would your current 17 year old self be happy and proud of where you are right now. Because she isn’t sure what is going to happen in the next five year she just knows that she will figure it all out. Happy birthday. Remember to love yourself be positive and keep making yourself proud. Love - your younger self
