A letter from Jul 3rd, 2021

Dear Future Me, What a bloody roller coaster 2020 and 2021 have been. Covid, our of work for 4 months, Esraa pregnancy and very soon (3months) expecting Jawad. Mum and dad still don’t talk to me, brothers are non existent, all I have is my wife, myself and I. I wouldn’t have a clue what’s hidden in another 5 years however what I do know is that when I read this, I will be saying how did these years pass by?? Will I be back home in Sydney? Or will I be in the GCC? Will I have anyone else besides Jawad in the family? Will i be in contact with mum and dad? It’s true when they say life is what happens to you while you are too busy making plans.... life happened to me! I hope and pray the upcoming years will illustrate happiness for my family and I, I truly hope I would have had a home by then too, something to look forward to in oz. Really looking forward to this in 5 years time. Much love and hope. Younger Anass Basha
