Dear FutureMe,
Do you still have that dignity you’ve swore by?
Have you changed yourself for glory and do whatever it takes for money?
Have you been doing something you don’t believe in just because that’s life? Have you walked on that path of faith? The faith you can actually choose.
I have always wondered if I will eventually become the person I don’t like. Of course, I don’t want to turn out that way, but I will probably forget I ever believe it by that time. I might not be able to understand anymore, ’why not?’ Here’s why I don’t want to change myself to please other or for money. It’s because I feel like I will lose myself, the core I called ‘self.’ I would doubt who I actually am. I think it’s the most important thing. To know what you want, what you believe, and where you stand. Then, nothing else matters. No one can hurt or destroy you. I don’t mean it doesn’t have to stay the same, though. I just think you will be more credible and reliable in doing anything.
I’m 22 years old, new grad, have not entered workforce.
