Dear Future Me,
By the time you get this I believe you/I will be in my senior year of highschool. Now even though this is for an ELA assignment, I think this is a really cool thing to do. Hopefully by then the world has returned to normal and as in normal, I mean no one has to wear masks anymore, school is full in person again, and hanging out with friends is no longer limited. Right now the world isn’t in as much chaos as it was last year but Covid-19 is still a thing. Speaking of Covid-19 I get my second vaccine shot tomorrow! So exciting right?...Right? Some might think so but those Trumpees are against it. Are there still Trumpees after all this time? I sure hope not. Speaking of Presidents, who's the president now? I think it should be someone new, is it a woman? Hopefully it is, I'm tired of having these old men being president. Besides all of that back to answering the questions Mrs.Delahunty said we should answer. You remember her right? Our 7th grade english teacher. Look at me getting off track again, I never knew when and when not to pay attention anyway. Now let's actually get back to these questions even though I already answered some of them. In all honesty thinking about how far we have come during this pandemic, I am proud of myself for staying relatively calm. If I could tell you about how I am handling the situation (even though I already am) I would say that I am handling the situation really well. One thing that has changed drastically over the past year is the amount of friends I had and my sleep schedule. Speaking of friends, hopefully we’re still friends with Alex and Amanda. I need to stop getting off task and just answer these questions. Okay getting back on track, after more than a year into the pandemic one thing I realized about myself is that I procrastinate...a lot, and I probably still do. I am very much enjoying this year because even though I stayed home for most of it, me and my friends started some new traditions or more like 1 new tradition. Everynight we fall asleep on a google meet together. Apparently I’m supposed to give you or maybe I should say myself advice so...don’t procrastinate, I know highschool is almost over but don’t let your guard down and make sure to work till the very last minute. One thing I learned from this experience is learn how to not take even the little things for granted. One positive takeaway from this year's learning is that sometimes, staring at a computer screen all day isn’t so bad. Last but most definitely not least, I hope that while reading this I was able to give my older self (you) at least a couple of laughs.
Sincerely,
13 year old Breanne Barnett
