A letter from May 27th, 2021

Dear Future me, I’m in a pandemic you probably will never forget. That’s right, Covid-19. I know you might remember it as a horrible thing which you hated, but I did make many new friends. Now I have a few questions. Are you still friends with Ruby, Clara, Cate, and Scarlett? Did you decide to go to an arts school? If so, did you get into CSArts or LACHSA? Do you still want to be an astrophysicist or singer? How old are you? Do you have a boyfriend:)? Now I wanna tell you about how I am living right now. This past year was a historic moment for me. I lived through a whole year wearing a mask, social distancing, online learning, and not being able to see friends that often. What it is like living in this time is pretty bad. We can’t have parties, travel around the world, and more. I just don’t know why it has to happen in my last year of elementary school. I thought I was going to have an epic last year, but no I didn't. I had a sad year. Now it is still fun. I love my teachers, but it’s not as fun as I thought it would be. That’s what it has been like, horrible. Hey me, I have one last thing to say. I really hope I still choose to be an astrophysicist because imagine the things I’ll learn. Also I really hope I get into JPL because it is my dream school. Thanks for reading this me and I hope you are having a wonderful life:). -Kyla
